MTP - Model Train Products FOAM LOADS are used to simulate coal, stone, ballast, wood chips or ore in hopper and gondola cars. It is designed to fit ALL manufacturer’s cars so matching the “right” load for the “right” brand of car is a thing of the past! With FOAM LOADS, you can run a long, fully loaded coal or ore drag with only one engine, because they weigh nearly nothing, thus adding virtually no extra weight to your train! Each package contains 48” of material, which should yield you 6-15 HO scale loads depending on car lengths, by simply cutting the material in half, length-wise, the N scaler nets twice as much material for the same cost!
