Easy to use instructions.....
1. Model the bottom and sides of your body of water, damming all edges. Glue in details, ground foams, dirt or use paint to simulate depth. Let dry for a few days.
2. Pour MODEL WATER into the area(s) where water is to be simulated, pouring just enough to cover the bottom, approx. 1/32” thick. Let dry for 1-3 days, depending on humidity levels. How does it look??
3. Your model may need another layer of MODEL WATER, repeat step 2, pouring just enough to cover the first layer and let dry for 1-3 days. You now have a total thickness of approx. 1/16” of MODEL WATER. At this thickness, MODEL WATER should stay approx. 80% clear and bottom details should be visible.
*Pouring a 3rd or 4th layer will cause MODEL WATER to take on a bluish look and the bottom will not be visible. If you pour MODEL WATER too thick (more than 1/4”) your water could develop cracks, so keep your water as thin as possible.
IMPORTANT- your water bottom should be modeled out of Styrofoam, with hardboard or styrene as the actual bottom material that the MODEL WATER will be poured on, for BEST results!
WARNING- If MODEL WATER is poured over wood without a barrier, it can crack with the wood grain caused by the wood contracting and expanding with humidity levels.
CAUTION- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!
